Nah I figured since 4/6 is a common drop someone on here who had bought a set of nitro's would be able to clarify, and give feedback. These are the part numbers Summit gives me for my truck (sans shock extenders).

Next step if I didn't get a reply was going to be to email Belltech.

Or you could always measure your shocks like the rest of the world did, instead of just asking for answers. Do you do the same at your job? Just ask someone to do it for you? Or are you required to "do the work" on occasion?

Why such a mean response? The whole point of this entire thread is to post your shock part numbers that can be used other than drop shocks .if someone already has the answer to a problem why not ask them its called work smarter not harder .

Fwiw I work 14 hour days most days, then come home and help feed and bath etc my 2.5yo and 7mnth old to get them to bed so I don't have time let alone able to get the track car out of the garage, or want to be dragging a trolley jack around a concrete floor on an internal garage and waking my kids.

Also someone on the same page asked for shocks and you tell them to go fill in their details at Summit (which is exactly what I did to get the part numbers) and you get hostile at me?

What happens if I measure my shocks, and the last owner put the wrong ones on? What happens if the pistons inside the shock are already sitting 3/4 of the way up the bore and they are close to smashing home when the truck hits the bump stops and I have just taken a measurement of my old shock?

Belltech got back to me, and gave me the same part numbers I listed above. So didn't need your negative response after all.

should i send you the how to measure shocks height? you dont measure your existing shocks dude... like you said, who knows if the correct length is in. Also, these trucks vary so much when lowering them that i've seen 5/7 trucks be the same height as a 4/6 truck depending on hardware. You measure the resting height of the arm on the truck, the expanded height on the arm and get the REQUIRED SHOCK LENGTH FOR YOUR SPECIFIC APPLICATION. If nothing else, me being adamant on getting your own measurements im trying to save you a few hundred bucks from buying what may have worked on my truck but not work on yours. you're welcome. and as you said, its not like i'm singling you out.... that's my response to EVERYONE when they are looking for shocks. What works on mine, may be a half inch longer than you need and will cause yours to bottom out and damage them, resulting in buying the again and being mad you did just measure the damn shocks to begin with. I do however find it interesting you mention all your "daddy duties" as the excuse that you dont have 20 minutes in an entire week of 10.80 minutes to lift the front and get 3 quick and easy measurements. Lift the front measure, load the suspension measure again... done. Ive been down that road, I have a 14 year old and an 18 year old, i juggled the daddy duties for years and years. I get it. But like I said, it takes literal minutes to quickly grab a couple measurements.

because as i just told him... not every truck is the same. I may not be able to run the same length shocks as you do because lowered heights can vary more than an inch on our trucks.

Well after reading this entire thread and other threads on other websites i found a solid answer. For 4/6 and 5/7 drops

Rear: 1990 jeep cherokee 2wd 6cyl mfi ohv shocks work

Front:2000 dodge durango 2wd 5.2l v8 ohv shocks work

Seems that with both kyb shocks are the best choice.just choose between gas a just that are semi stiff or excel-g which are soft.
Regardless even the gas a just will be softer than any drop shock its been an adventure researching this

picked up a 95 RCSB (stepside) that was done 4/6. I know spindles and flip kit, but uncertain about shock relocators or cut coils/drop coils. its currently rocking some blank shocks. unknown what brand/lengths, but they suck. theyre new, just garbage.

my last truck was 3/4, and I used the cheapest parts store Durango/Cherokee combo shocks I could. id like better for this one.

after digging through the interchanges, it appears that the s10 stuff is halfway between the stock c1500 shocks and the standard Durango/Cherokee. Durango Cherokee is shorter overall than the s10 stuff, which is shorter than the stock.

that being said, has anyone tried the s10 fitment shocks on these trucks? reason I ask is that I can grab a set of bilsteins CHEAP, but in 2wd s10 fitment. just don't want to waste money/time if someone else has done this and failed.
