Got the bumper back on today. Trimmed the valence, but sadly it is still rubbing the bumper a little on the drivers side. Not sure how with 7" of lift.

Control arm bushings maybe bad ? Or even bent some ? I got 35s on mine with only a 4 inch spindle lift in front and i dont rub. Did half to take my saw zaw to my bumber though. Didnt half to cut much and is hardly noticeable

Do you have a picture of the bumper after you cut it?

Just cut the bumper tonight. However instead of trimming it, what I did was cut a little upside down V shape right behind the first bolt that attaches the valence to the bumper, and bent in the part that was rubbing so the bumper now appears uncut. My buddy came up with the idea and it looks awesome. Just got done with it today, so ill try to get some good pics of the truck up this week.

Also, yes the control arm bushings look toasted. I just replaced the upper and lower ball joints with moog parts, and I have every other moog part for the front end except the control arm bushings. Just waiting to install them when I have some time.

Those control arm bushings are a pain, but worth it, Fixed my mushy front end an scrubbing while turning at speed. I recommend the energy suspension poly bushing kit, and a weekend dedicated!

Someone has probably posted about this but I figure I'll ask before I read every page. Has anyone found a better/stronger steering set up (tie rods/pitman arm/idler arms/etc)?

4in Rough Country lift spindles
Ball joint spacers
Pro Comp extended brake lines

Hey everyone I'm new to the site.
I installed lift spindles. This weekend I'm doing the ball joint spacers and extended brake lines.
I need help with a few things.

I'm looking to get drop pitman arms and a new power steering gear box.
Any suggestions? Links?

I have a rough country steering stabilizer, not sure how it goes on tho.
Does anyone have a picture of one installed on a 2wd?

i also need sugestions & links for some wheels. I would like to use the same tires. 35/12.50/r15
I'm going for the wide stance

The last picture is old. I'll post some new ones soon with the new tow mirrors.

Ladies & Germs... I have an alignment issue that I think I shouldn't be having after reading through all these posts.

1999 Burban c1500 2wd. 4" spindle lift. New coil springs but they are stock replacements...mine were sagging. All new MOOG front end parts except: center link (not a wear item), steering box. New KGB MonoMax shocks. 2" block in back.

I went staggered on wheel/tires. Just the look I was after to tuck them. 285/70r17 Nitto DuraGrapplers grapplers up front. 305/70r18 on rear. Ridler 695 chrome wheels...10" rear, 8.5" front.

3 attempts at alignment. First: drivable but not zero'd in. Camber at -0.2 left, -0.1 right. Caster at 2.6 left, 2.5 right. To was dead on green.

Second attempt, same shop AFTER ball joint spacers. After hour and half comes out & tosses me the keys .."No help" says the 20 rack man. ****** me off.

Third attempt...new shop up the road. Used them before I lifted it and best alignment I ever had. After couple hours waiting..."No can do, Bro! Needs longer control arms". ****** me off again.

Rough Country 7546 arms...Kirk at RC says it would fix my problem. I verify fitment just before ordering...Only Fits 6 lug. Pissed again.

Where do I go now? Not wanting to Shell out 600 more smackers for the only arms I hear will work..AirBagIt. not so good reviews reading through GMT.

Ready to get torch out.

Signed
