Does anyone know of it's possible to wire the parking lights (just the front) to the ignition? If so, how would it be done? I have a 98 sierra if that matters.

If the parking lights are on constantly as DRL's I don't know how you could also make them work as turn signals?

Also, in some states it's illegal to drive with parking lights on and headlights off. Although I do see people driving here in Colorado with just parking lights on (where it's illegal to do so).

Why would this ever be illegal.

I drive with parking lights on during the daytime 100% of the time. Safer and looks good IMO. But i hate DRLs.

I have no idea about the details of how they will work, but I usually drive with my parking lights on anyway, just would prefer to have it wired to the ignition, so that just the fronts would be in.

It would still be my parking lights, I would just use them as DRLs. I have white led switchbacks. They stay on as white, but flip to yellow when turning.

I've been driving with my parking lights on during the day for over 45 years and never got stopped by the police. I've been pulled over for just about everything else but not that. Now that I say that I'll probably get stopped tomorrow.

I used to drive with my parking lights on before DRL's, and I never was stopped for that either--but it is illegal to drive with only parking lights on in Colorado.

You would need a fused, keyed power source to the front parking lights and a diode in the existing wiring (I would do it right by the parking lights) to keep from back feeding the tail lights.
