I got my harness from gmachinz installed yesterday afternoon and am very impressed with his quality of craftsmanship. If anyone of you were on the fence about whether or not to buy his harness, don't be! My stock headlight output on low beam increased dramatically and the 4 high feature is very nice, especially on Montana's back roads. I didn't get any pictures taken, but this is hands down the best money I've spent on lighting in quite a while.

i'm glad it worked out for you, it's really quite the difference......wait till you put in premium quality legal bulbs. we're going to be discussing the HIR units presently.

I didn't have a decent lack of traffic to dick around with my phone while driving last night. I'll get a picture taken in the next night or two. I've been following the conversation about HIRs, those and the Vision Xtreme lowbeams are next on my to do list.

these were my first choice to match the highs, but 1) they did't have stock and 2) i figured the +60% would live a bit longer without giving up too much "light" as i have DRL's.......plus i got mine for $12 as "used" on Amazon(damaged box).

these would be another top pick for lows in the 9006 flavor

Like I have said before, relaying your headlights makes a huge difference. The OE supply wiring is just to small for as long of a run as they have. When you come rite off of the battery , it makes a huge difference.

Can someone post an image of the harness installed please?

Would like to see where/how the new harness attaches to the main as well.

there's pics around....but i'll say this;

there's too many variables between trucks to show what the difference would be in YOUR truck....the condition of the lenses(cracked, crazed, brittle, yellowed etc) the age and condition of the reflectors...the bulb...the resistance and voltage drop in the stock harness.

let's just say the lights sucked from the factory new, compared to other vehicles of the time......time hurts that more than anything. if you do ONE thing to improve your system it's change the lenses to brand new OEM. then SEE that difference......then put in good performance bulbs(we have our favorites)....THEN put in a proper harness......the difference is night and day, no joke.

it's really the first thing i did beyond what i HAD to do to this "new to me" truck....i've been upgrading headlight systems since the early '80's as a rule to any vehicle i own. it's THAT important to me to have the best safety system i can......and i suggest you do the same.

do it in stages,the end result is three components anyway...stop where you want or just toss doubt to the wind and jump in and do it right.......do NOT buy $30 **** lights on ebay and do NOT buy **** blue bulbs.

my opinion is worth what ya paid fer it.....LOL
