No it is a 5 speed and a 350. The Dallas Craigslist truck is a v6 with a automatic transmission.

I did not notice the roof spoiler. The bed rails that he made look like a old set I had... too short to get a chain under... it is about a hour drive from Dallas where the Craigslist truck is that east302 sent.

Boy I want something. Ultimately my plan was to drop pops 454, th400 , that's in his 73 GMC into whatever I bought. My own homemade 454 (ss sort of) I can't afford one of those. No clone, or tribute truck... Just mine. I hate it when people say THEY made a clone of a 1970 Chevelle 454 SS. While I can see someone doing that... I wouldn't mess up a original one. I had a real one of those, a 454, 4 speed version, red with black stripes that I bought new.

Oh to have kept all those thing's I had over the year's.

Yeah, I noticed that. There were a bunch of 88-94 listed on Craigslist though...seems that you can kind of afford to be picky with these early year models. Some real heaps for $1000 and some nice honest trucks for a couple grand more.

You're partial to those years versus the 95-98?

The 454 SS would be OK to get. About 1/2 the price that I have seen,

Yes. The newer ones are ok. I have a 95 3/4 ton extended cab, long bed. Great farm truck now. It was my road hog for many year's

If that is new paint it looks like they put the shiney side in. Looks like something from the 70's with the rake and offset wheels. Don't know what they are thinking with that spoiler on the roof. Is the lower two tone or that stainless stick on crap that hides rust? If it is not rusted there is nothing that can't be put the way you want it if the price is what you are happy with.
