I have a really odd wobble in back on decent bumps now for some reason. I wanna get new struts on it before I investigate further but if there's a decent bump in the road it feels like the ass end kicks right. There is a brace for the knuckle back there that extends towards the front of the car and mounts to the unibody just in front of the wheel well on the left side that I bent slightly while jacking the rear up from it's unibody mount. I think that might be the issue since it was fine before I moved the tires around.

Or I've got a blown apart belt that was causing my "torque steer" fiasco and now that the same tire is on the back...... It's causing "bump sway"....first is struts. Going from there.

That Brace is actually a trailing arm. If you bent that, even ever so slightly, it will cause a bump steer effect. Just like your describing. It throws the rear toe off and can cause a rear wandering at higher speeds.

Tires don't cause torque steer either. It's the misalignment of the drivetrain. Check your motor mounts for any play.

And glad to hear the new struts came in early and helped out.

I figured out it was a trailing arm. Been told they're cheap. So I'll get two.

The engine mount underneath is newer. Still hydraulic I assume. Looks like it to me at least. If it was a cheap mount it'll flex.

Looking at trailing arm pics.... That doesn't appear to be what I bent. Everything online shows the trailing arm to be a rod with mounts on each end. I bent a u-shaped channel thing that goes forward from the knuckle to the body under the back seat floor

The factory one is a U channel, all the aftermarket ones are tubular. Dorman ones are good. That's what I have in mine.

Looking at wheels now. $$$$$$$

I'm keeping the chromes for the winter. They'll get snow tires next year and I'm wanting to get a set of 17s for it this summer.

On the way for it right now is a pair of headlights and floor mats.

Headlights went in just before Christmas along with floor mats.

And a deer ran into the side of me just after midnight on my way into work last night.

After the deer.

Deformed the fender so the passenger door won't open without making issues. Bumper cover is cracked. Hood scratched. Headlight destroyed.

Seems like it. This one was a total loss so I'm getting a check for 1900 and change. It'll get a fender and new lights. The rest I can live with for awhile.

Damn! you are not having any luck with W bodies.
Not really. I'm not too salty about this though. I'm getting cash for it. I was able to use my plastic trim tools to make the fender clear and the door function without contacting the fender. I also fixed my key fobs so I now have keyless entry and two working fobs. I picked up a nice taillight to replace the one that has a chip missing from it once it dries out.

I still need to figure out how to get rid of the daytime running lights. They're the steady burn turn signals. I hate them. Also need to change the headlight flash when locking and unlocking. It'll be hell on my HIDs when I get them. There's no fuse for the DRL. I read you can snip a couple wires and disable the DRL but it also disables the cluster lights I think so I definitely don't want that. Might be a deal that I'll have to get the BCM reprogrammed for this. I'll have to do more research though. I don't mind the auto headlights. And that wire might be the one that disables the cluster illumination.

As far as w-bodies go I picked up a GTP coupe a couple weeks back stupid cheap with a busted forward band. I gutted the trans, replaced a few things and got it driving great. I washed it today and cleaned the inside up a bit. Still needs more cleaning inside. Hoping to off it for a two grand profit. I'm not driving it at all. It's a decent car but it's a coupe. I have no desire to hang onto a two door car. It'll sell quick I hope due to tax return season being upon us.
