Correct, wheel spacers can be safe or unsafe, I myself am not a fan of them, others I know are. If you choose to use them make sure you check the inner nuts that hold the spacer on about every oil change for example.

Thanks. Like I said, I just hate the way the wheels look like they're tucked up under the truck like it was meant to ride on a RR track. I'm pretty sure there are rims that would accomplish my goal but I don't wanna spend another $1000 dollars on them.

ETA: it seems to me that the front axle is wider than the rear. Can you get wheel spacers by the pair so I could even them up?

4" Pro Comp lift with 33x12.5x15 BFG KM2's and 15x10 wheels. Not sure how a stock suburban rides but the ride quality in my suburban feels like you're driving in a Mercedes.

EDIT: I should add that brand new shocks and a rebuilt front suspension adds to the ride quality.
Wow! Nice truck. If I can get mine to look like that I'll be overjoyed.

GM designed the front end that way, helps out the turn radius, of course with bigger tires they won't look as tucked up but don't forget craigslist can be your friend for finding rims and tires, cheaper than $1000 lol

Well it looks goofy IMHO!:Big Laugh:

I suppose I'll need to learn what offset means and look around to see if I can't find some decent rims too.

Scratched 35s I have 265s now and tbars are all the way down. I am going to crank as little as possible and use 285s instead. Wheel spacers in rear to match fronts.

I'm running a 4" with 315/75 on the 2001 model stock 16" rims. Only thing I scrub with my mudgrapplers im the lower control arm with my steering wheel all the way turned. No trimming needed.
