Ok guys ,97 k1500, Shifts and drives perfectly fine, transfer case won't shift out of 4lo or into any other gear after replacing the transmission and park/neutral switch. The 4x4 lights just blink whenever you try to select 2hi or 4hi. Since this is my daily driver I was forced to remove the drive shaft and the encoder motor and shift the T-case into 2hi by hand. I believe the transfer case doesn't know what gear the truck is in due to the fact that I also do not have reverse lights and the gear indicator lights DOES NOT come on in the RUN/START position. Any Help would be Immensely appreciated

Push button case or shifter through the floor? Now you're making me attempt to recall the finer points of the 411 swap.

Did your diff disengage and only the case was stuck? Try cycling back and forth with someone under the truck. You can hear the diff actuator go in and out.

It's tough to tell from inside the truck, I had a similar issue when my diff actuator took a ****. I had a person in the cab cycle between 2 and 4wd and listened for what did and didn't actuate. It was pretty obvious from there what the issue was and I killed it in 1 shot. Mine was the diff actuator, but if yours won't even leave low range it sounds like, from behind the keyboard, your t-case actuator is done. Get under the truck and listen first though, because I don't know if the computer looks at 1 of the 2 failing and says **** it on the whole deal and gives up and leaves you where you're at.

Went under the truck today and diff lock actuator did not sound like it was disengaging or engaging at all. Transfer case motor made no attempt to move and 4x4 lights would just blink every time I would press 2hi or 4hi it would blink for a minute or 2 then revert back to the 4 lo light blinking continuously.

Wow, super weak, just checked my Haynes for electrical and they produced Jack and ****. This one's gonna require some googling to see what's common between the diff and the t case for a logical way ahead.

Alright boys, took some internet digging but I think I found a few diagrams of use. Seems too me the shift interlock has a pink wiring running from the ignition switch too the prndl display, Maybe the problem is ignition switch related? Seeing as how the prndl comes on the first key position and not the run position
