The "raised flange" pictured is used by some header suppliers to help increase sealing around the exhaust port.

Looking good. That VHT paint is the bomb, isn't it.

Dumb question coming. I have the shorty ceramic Flowtechs and used, stretched header bolts that came on the truck. What length bolts should I be buying. Percy's offers 3 different lengths. .75", 1" and 1.25" 95 TBI. I'm thinking the 1" but was told by a counter geek that .75" is all I need. Need some specific advise here from you guys. Thanx in advance.

It depends on your set up. The best way to figure out the best bolt length is to measure your set up. Ok I know that sounds simple, but How thick is you header flange, the depth of the bolt hole in the head (1/2 I think) and how thick is your lock washer. All this will give you the correct bolt to use. Also you don't want the bolt to bottom out before it gets tight, so you need to leave a little room for clearance. I don't remember if the bolt holes in the head go all the way through the head, or not. I think mine are 1 inch, but I don't remember.
