I wanna stock floor, but the frames lower lip looks like a freaken ruffles potato chip!:nono: I can do a traditional.. a channel just wouldn't seem rite. And since my interior is going to one day be smoothed and painted, or either wrapped. Haven to trim pieces wont really mater much.. I only tacked in my inner fenders so they can be raised easily.. Just need to find a dang electric fan set and tub the firewall a little.

Man, i learned a very scary lesson Saturday night! Don't lower the truck down too much while driven it! LMAO!! I was riden almost layed out, and thought maybe i can go a lil bit lower. WRONG.. My left frame rail hit the road and jerked the hell out of the truck! I thought it was over for me. thank god i had my fingers still on the switches, i hit the all up just in time to straighten it back up lol... My heart was racen!

Either way would work, but I have seen your welding on your notch's and it seem's to be good, so why not just ditch the factory rail's and use some 2x4 1/4 wall and then you will have yourself a stockfloor and a nice custom frame, I think you are plenty capable. I'll bet that was scary, I've never had just one side hit without the other, but I bet it would really jerk the truck.

Oh wow.. I talk too much! Yeah, the roads near where i live are not very smooth.. Id hit a hump in the road. When the frame hit, it jerked hard left and slamed the passenger rail down jerking the truck left and right. I'll never do that again. lol...
Do you remove the plastic guard off the gas tank? I can drag frame, but the gas tank cover makes it sound like im draggen a freaken plastic trash can.

I didn't have to but my tank is raised up 1.5 inches all the way, the plastic cover is no where near as low as the frame.

It's raised enough that I had to trim the lip off of the cab on the bottom to clear the tank, but I love it being that high.

Yes absolutly it need's raised also, but when it's raised you can only use 3 bolt's instead of 4, but it's still plenty strong. Just measure up from each hole however much you want to raise it and drill 3 new hole's and you have to cut the fourth stud off, it won't clear the bed/cab mount.
