Bought a F150 that had them once, they were loose when I got it so I was gonna take them off and move them forward about an inch to get a grip in some new metal. When I took them off I noticed that they had been mounted and moved 4 times, they really dont bite in to much at all, just normal use loosens them up quite a bit. This was on a rust free southern vehicle, cant see them lasting long at all on something that sees an actual winter.

Have to bust out a welder, the frame is almost 18" from where these steps mount.
