How Loud Would It Be

I am thinking on cutting the stock muffler off of my 98 ext cab and running straight piping and dumping at rear axle. Just wondering how much the OE cats would restrict the sound, or if it will be like ass. Compared to my 92 with headers and only dual Dynomax bullets dumped just behind cab?
This will just be a temporary run untill I can get the whole exhaust system redone.

It will be loud prob. comparable to your 92. IMAO

my buddy cut his muffler off and dumped it infront of the rear tire on his 98 350 and it sounded like **** IMO sounded like a 4 wheeler on steriods. look on summitracing.com you can buy stainless steel magnaflow tailpipes for 50 a piece i have them on my truck and they fit great.

my buddy did that on his 96 ecsb actually sounds decent its loud but not to obnoxious

Thanks did cut the muffler off and added 30" of pipe with a turndown on it. Not near as loud or deep as my 92, but in the end its not terrible, no drone inside.
