Does anyone happen have a line on a replacement factory steering wheel - I think mine has an internal crack somewhere - it shifts/moves like its loose on the splines and produces a maddening 'click' every time I pull to the left. Stem nut is tight. No airbag. Thanks in advance.

They're a discontinued part, unfortunately. Salvage yards are probably your best bet. Took me a while to find a nice one for my red truck. You might have better luck posting this in the "Wanted" section here.

As soon I posted it, I realized I had got it in the wrong forum - would a moderator please correct my error and move this to ‘wanted’ Thank you!
Thanks for the info on it being discontinued - sigh... I live in such a remote small place, my chances of finding one around here are all but zero, but I'll start looking. Cheers

There are a couple on eBay, advertised as new...probably old stock from a dealership or something.

Edit: those don’t look like leather wrapped versions, though.

Car-part.com is a good search engine for salvage yards. I’m not sure if they cover Canada, but maybe some facilities will ship.

Yeah, pretty sure those are the non-leather wrapped ones which are still available new. The lack of stitching gives it away. I'd be curious to know if they interchange, though.

I put a half ton leather wrapped wheel in my 2500. Splines are the same. I couldn't find a 2500 wheel so I said screw it! I have some audio controls I'm gonna put on it sometime! Didn't hook the airbag up. The column as far as I can tell are the same, just no clockspring for the air bag.

That my good man is a very nice ride! :)
Thanks for the insight on 1500 vs 2500 steering wheels
Cheers

nb: did you have any alignment issues with the pax mirror and not being able to rotate inwards enough - I have short legs and from where I sit I can't get the pax mirror to aim properly... Have to shim the mount or glass at some point

Not sure what you mean by pax mirror, but I can see well out of all my mirrors. Love the tow mirrors they are the stuff when it comes to backing a trailer!
