what....... i didnt even know that was a OEM THING!!!!!! pretty sweet! but guess ya need both brackets the AC/PS and dual alt bracket. too bad thats where my york210 is mounted.
but why not just do a dual mount on the passenger side. from what ive heard and seen it looks pretty simple enough. put soft line on the heater hose section and use each mounting stock bolt for one mount on each alternator and then just make a bracket to connect the two alternators second mounting point. ive been meaning to try it for years! just never had the time! i was gonna use my one high power alternator and a second factory 140 amp alternator.

also if you havent already swapped your stock 105amp alt for a 140 amp alt from a 2000 tahoe AD244 then i highly suggest you do that swap before considering dual alternators! i love my ad244 alt! thing charges so nice even at idle! unlike the stock 105 and even the 140amp 96-98 alternators!
best of all the 140 ad244 uses same plug as 105 amp alt! only thing you need for the swap is simply the 96-98 140amp serp length belt! but if your going from the stock 140amp to the newer 140 you have to swap the pigtail on the stock alt to the 4pin oval shape stock 105 plug. very simple tho just cut and crimp 1 wire.

The rear mount points are already there on the PS/AC bracket on all 96+ 6.5s, so all that's needed is the front bracket and idler pulley. The factory idler pulley is still available new, but the bracket isn't. If someone that has one could burn a few copies out of some plate for under $100 I know I'm not the only one that would jump on it. I'm trying to keep room open on the passenger side for the HX35 and GMT800 airbox. I'm going from single 105a to dual AD244s, likely just going to build my own harness to simplify under hood wiring since I'm going from L31 to a mechanical diesel.
