I have been digging around for a few days trying to find what seats fit with how much work and what is the most comfortable and best looking options. I have yet to find anything really definitive in the topic, but there are 100's of threads to make searching harder. So I decided to try and make one thread with all the answers. Please include what you have installed, what modification was needed, and pictures of course. Also include the comfort based on you and others opinions.

So far I have seen, that NBS, Escalade, F-Body, and older LeMans seats can be done. Please those who have done the work throw your 2 cents in.

This member did a pretty nice write up on installing Bonneville seats

this thread is for his painted plastics, but he did a good job with NBS seats in his ride

I know this is an old thread but can anyone help me. I have a 98 silverado ecsb 3 door. It has a factory buckets with power drivers seat with lumbar and lumber passenger seat. Well I installed leather heated seats from a 99 suburban. The drivers seat went right in. I’m having issues with the passenger seat. The risers are way off. Are there different risers that I can buy to put on from factory? Did gm ever make a full power passenger seat for the silverados? Any info would be great. Thanks

I don't think any Silverado's got a power passenger seat, only a driver power seat option, I could be wrong. Only Suburbans and Tahoes did, which they should all be the same.

Thank you for the reply. That’s what I thought also but when I put the power passenger seat in I can only get 2 of the holes to line up. Either the back 2 or the front 2. The risers are about 3-4 inches to short so it doesn’t line up with the factory holes. I was hoping that gm made different power brackets for the silverados. I’ll have to make something if no one else has any info.

I think I saw a thread where someone built an extension adapter out of steel to bolt to the factory hole in the rear and extend to the new seat riser. If you dig around on here long enough someone has done it.

Hmm, that is odd. You would think GM would've made the Hoes and Burbs the same as the Silverado, I guess not.

Yeah I thought so to at first. Don’t know why they would do that

My Tahoe has a 6-way power seat on driver's side, but passenger seat is not power, except lumbar support and perhaps height adjustment? I must look at it tomorrow, but it definitely has almost no buttons/switches compared to the driver seat and I know that you must move the passenger seat manually forwards or backwards. So definitely not the same.

I'm meaning the bracket holes for the seat, not a manual vs power thing, GM should've made the holes in the exact same spot, but it looks like they didn't. But what I said was Tahoes and Suburbans got the option for one, I didn't say that they all got it standard, I probably should have been more clear. :)

Ok, that cleared things up.
So this means I won't be able to use the passenger seat during the time my driver seat will be undergoing repairs? there goes that plan...
