high shift points/late shifts trouble staying in a higher gear

well correct me if I'm wrong guys but the tv cable on a 700r4 will make it do that if it's too tight, now I'd guess he has the 4l60? and does it have a tv cable? if so might be that?

yea i got a 4l60e. i herd about the tv cable and i've had someone already check and he looked for it. doesnt look like they have it. so i'm not sure what it could be

hmm just look at the throttle body and see how many cables go to it that'll tell you whether or not you have it.

1995 has no TV cable. Bet you anything your tune is off. You might need to switch to the 0411 PCM to get your tune right with that cam.

The tune controls everything, including your shift points etc. A cam would throw all that off in a way that sounds like what you describe.

The 411 pcm will give you all the advantage of the LS1 computer and its tuning capability and you could switch to 8 injectors and 8 coils if you were so inclined.

i see well that might be alright to look into. i think i found a place in my area that will do tunes but i'm not sure yet. but thanks for the help. also will the wiring harness just plug in? or will i need a new one?
