    Also.. could you just use any type of silicone?

    if his is a 97, they make a resistor or something to help fix it. Also how long has this lasted?

    No, you want to use an oil. This stuff is thick, but it won't go solid. Regular silicone will. I've heard of people using 50k and even 100k weight oil, but the 30k works and I can't imagine waiting for the air bubbles to work through anything thicker ha.

    well i was talking about dielectric grease

    Well idk but I can tell you that 30k silicone oil is MUCH thicker than dielectric grease ha.

    I would think dielectric grease is too "pasty" due to the additives, the oil needs to be thick but movable so the gauge can function without burning the motor up.
