Hello all.
I have a 1995 GMC Sierra SLE with 5.7 TBI, Automatic 4L60E, and an NP241 manually shifted x-fer case.
With 200+ miles on the odometer, but an above-average body and frame, I'm rebuilding the drive line a bit at a time *before* things fail. Just finished rebuilding the engine, now looking to rebuild the trans and transfer case, which leads me to my question: which transmissions and transfer cases will interchange?
There's a guy selling a transmission/transfer case combo for $550, which looks like a good candidate for a rebuild/refresh for my truck; here's what he wrote:
"Transmission came out of a 2000 Chevy Tahoe w/160000 miles motor was a 5.7 vortec"
So, will the trans and transfer case from a 2000 Tahoe work in my 95 Sierra?
Are there parts that need to be swapped over for them to work?
