Hey guys don't now if this is the right place to post this, but my 97 k1500 z71 is having an issue. Randomly the front wheels lock up when first putting it in gear, if i lightly press the brakes they free up. Also when driving slowly (5mph) traffic if I hit the brakes and then let off it feels like something starts to catch and starts making a grinding noise and starts to shutter. Anyone know what the issue could be? I'm thinking something with the transfer case or torque converter considering it happens with the brake switch engaging/disengaging. Oh and the truck is in 2wd, I haven't tried anything in 4wd.

It could be a anti-lock issue more than transfer case i would think but i could be wrong, all mine are 2WD :)

Mine did that and the rear drums were locked up.
