Are the transfer cases any different in the 2500 with the 4l80e's and can you bolt em up to the 4l60e's with that adapter but will it be any longer or anything and will it help the 4x4 or just be the same

Adapters are different and as said...input shaft has different spline count (it's bigger).
You could bolt the transfer case from the 80E to the adapter you already have on the 60E....so length will be exactly the same.
The 80E is longer than the 60E...but the transfer cases are the same.
If you're looking to do this as an upgrade....don't bother. Internally...they're identical.
