Iv got about $6500 in brand new front end cv axles all new upgraded rotors pads master cylinder and booster, steering box etc. All done by mechanics because i work overtime every week and dont have time to do it myself. I haven't even touched a mud hole. guess what? Cv axle boots are busted already and popping. First chance I get my hands on a dana 44 iam swapping because shops love it when an ifs pulls in...really? go to a shop and get a price on replacing ball joints, tie rods, idler arms, pitman arms, center link, and alignment, thats all been done three times in 200k. then add in cvs and actuators here and there . as stated before, I use my truck like a truck, it needs to be low enough to have the bed be usefull and pull trailers and fit in the garage and drive good down the highway. ive had trucks on 40s and loved them but they don't fall into that category.
