    3/4 Ton of fun - ‘95 Sierra

Adjusting the rear brakes made a big difference on mine when I did it a couple weeks ago. Not as much travel for the wheel cylinders to move for the shoes to touch.

That’s what mine has done since I bought it It’s never done that. It’s so aggravating

    Confirmed brake bleeding scan tools

Ill say the same thing. Most use a different connector. The ones that use an OBD 2 are pinned differently than regular.

@GrimsterGMC @Road Trip Excellent points on the master. I was only thinking of a singular failure of the master cylinder continuing to bleed off and not building any pressure. I bet if I take it apart I’ll find soggy rubbers and pitted cylinders. The truck did sit for a few years so the damage...

No Idk, I’m going to have to bleed them again. I think the travel is worse than it was before. That nasty fluid might be a sign, that was the end of the second quart going through the system. Something I noticed while bleeding, the first few inches (close to 5”) of travel won’t move any...

    Identify this drop?

Also, try to get a look at the notch. See if it’s in the frame or above it. Should have enough room either way but better to have more than less.

    Identify this drop?

Fer sure, you could throw some shackles in the back, most have separate holes for a 1 or 2” drop. That last photo shows a decent rake, you’re probably closer to 5” in the front.

    Identify this drop?

The rear looks like all stock stuff to me. There’s also a little over an inch difference in the tires that’s contributing to the rake.

    Identify this drop?

First of all, that’s a beautiful truck! If I where to guess it looks like maybe a 5/6? Flip kit by itself is 6”. Could be Any combination in the front. What size are your tires? When are you starting a build thread with lots of photos?

The scan tool ran flawless, was able to run the automated bleed procedure. Following the Kelsey-Hayes reference card, the brakes got bled a total of 4 times. Almost 2 quarts of fluid. As you can see by the date on the box, I’ve had these Russel brake lines for a little while. The rear hose got...

Blakes are bred, still about 27 inches of pedal travel though. I guess that’s just how it is

    Free to me GMC 2500

I should’ve specified it is a 2012 Tahoe :deal: But you’re right, that confirms the research I’ve done, showing them to be valved slightly different than the 4600, while also having a slightly beefier build. The rear shocks were rated nearly identical for the Tahoe. Could’ve saved a couple...

    Free to me GMC 2500

The 4600s are about the best, I’ve got the 5100s on my Tahoe and I’d say they’re a little more “heavy duty” feeling. But by no means bad.

@95OBSMan thank you! The cup holder is cool but lgbillet just released one made by slosh tubs that I think is probably better. @fancyTBI im excited to use it. Hopeing I can have decent brakes for once. I’ll probably breakdown and just buy a tech2 clone, use the red brick for the older stuff...

Queso, I didn’t get any pictures because of reasons, but, I did get the RR wheel cylinder swapped, both front brake lines swapped and an initial fluid bleed. Tomorrow I’ll run the automated bleed with the scan tool and bleed the system again. Maybe twice. Still a bunch of air coming out of the...

I’ll look again but my adjusters are right underneath the wheel cylinder, I don’t even see room for any holes.
