There is a lot of sentimental value so the choice to go with one solid color wasn’t made lightly. I went back and forth for months to make sure it’s what I wanted. Wheel choices vary right now. I’ve been looking at a larger offset like 22x12 or 22x14 on a 35” tire since it’s only going to be...

There was a lot of debate on whether I was going to keep the two tone. If I would have kept it stock, I would have kept it. My current plans are for a lift, regear to a 4:56, and then new wheels and tires. I think it will look a lot cleaner with just one color.

A lot of the photos are screenshots of Snapchats so I’m not sure how clear they are since I’m always on my phone. Seeing this in person is going to be insane lol

Well it’s in the final stages. Wet sanding is in progress currently. If it goes according to plan, I should have the truck back at the end of next week.

Looking for OEM Fender Flares for 2 Door Tahoe

Junkyard would probably be your best bet. IMO nothing fits better than OEM.

    1996 on its way

I've really come to appreciate the blue interior on these trucks over the years. When they are clean, they just seem super inviting. Like someone else said, you don't have to do everything at once. I'd concentrate on the interior first (which it seems you are) and get it clean. Maybe look...

98 Z71 Silverado Beginner Build (INTRODUCTION)

Honestly if you're that far into replacing parts on the front end, I would replace EVERYTHING. That way everything is new and you won't get it back together only to have something go wrong with a part you thought was good. Looks like you're making good progress.

    Semi restore

Hey everyone has to start somewhere. As far as seats, they may be pricey, but look at the seat shop. They have the foam for the driver seat and the seat covers.

I was hoping the lights would look good against the colormatched front end and damn was I right!! Eventually I’ll be ordering a set of clear corners from Klearz, but for the time being the orange will have to do.

    2006 Silverado Daily Driver

I took a few hours, 4 to be exact, and cleaned outside the truck today. It has a few small dings and scratches, but damn does it clean up good. I’ve only put around 1,500 miles on it since January lol.

    New to the forum

Welcome from Michigan!! Be sure to start a threat in the street builds section so we can see some photos!! I’m saying street builds because you have a C1500 so I’m just assuming you are making a street truck lol.

Stopped over at the shop today to drop off the front lights. Seeing the truck fully intact is crazy after looking at it in pieces the last few months. Wet sanding has commenced!! On a side note, I sold the old vinyl tonneau cover off the truck today and the kid rolled up in this pretty...

You aren’t kidding. I bought new rubber moldings and took them to the shop already along with new rubber seals for the door windows. Windshield and door window glass are all new and I have new head/parking lights and sidemarkers in the garage. Still need to order new taillights. Once I get it...

So what’s new for today??? The back side and inner rockers got rustproofed with cavity wax sprayed inside. The frame also was undercoated since there was some red paint overspray. Rear wheel wells are looking great too!! Oh yea, also made my window tint appointment today for sometime in June...

It looks decent, but it’s flaking and is more trouble than it’s worth. The inside of it is starting to rust out also.

Thanks!! I know Hidden Hitch makes something of the sort, but I’m not sure how far it’s tucked up. I think Curt makes an OEM replacement so I may go that route so I have a brand new hitch without any rust. I feel like I’d have more time in this one than it’s worth if I sandblasted it and...

One step closer!!!! Front grille was painted today!! I couldn’t be happier with the way this looks. I came across a box of brand new OEM headlights/parking lights and sidemarkers in my garage so those will look perfect in there. I plan on saving for a set of the Klearz brand clear sidemarkers...

They’re definitely comfortable, but I always felt like the perfect seats were the leather 96-99 seats lol.

The quality of this photo isn’t the best since it was a Snapchat, but the new windshield and driver door glass is in!!!. Then fresh tint all around this summer.

    2006 Silverado Daily Driver

I loved my '05 Z71 Tahoe and actually regret selling it. In reality I should have kept it to use for winter duty. From what my neighbor that bought it said, its getting close to rolling over 300,000 miles. Sunroof never gave me any problems, but I also didn't use it. I think both the GMT...
