@Caman96 - I was going to quote you, but I am not familiar enough with this forum to quote you with reduced sized images;
I really prefer to steer away from web searches;
I think this web search with the 'GM Parts Giant' application is fine example of just this...
These listings can be in...
Cad printing is a good idea, but unless you are using a different type of plastic which I am unaware of, I believe that cad printed plastic isn't as durable as these OE parts.
Thank you for chiming in that you had the same experience as me.
I wonder if LMC is aware of this issue?
If nothing...
thanks for the offer, I wasn't looking for a guinea pig - more over seeing if anyone had bought the 'LMC-style' latch and made it work ect.
To write that in another way, for your '92 the 'LMC-style' latch will not work... or at least I cannot see how to make it work.
I actually found the...
It looks like that listing (but eBay does sometimes sneakily redirect links) will not work, and is the same part I bought from LMC;
The last image of that part shows 0.75" between screw holes (bottom section picture).
If anyone changed out the factory installed rear glass, that changes...
The glass was never replaced.
If you can look past the original GM applied "defective" paint, it's actually a very low mile truck.
If my grand father didn't take such good care of this truck, it would have been repainted on GM's dime - but their offer for free repaints for vehicles from around...
well that doesn't help.
My guess is that the three panel is from a 1996+ diagram.
I believe the optional sliding window changed around the same time as the interior "update".
unless I am mistaken, the early trucks (please refer to thread title) only came with a solid piece of glass, or with an optional four panel sliding window.
Please tell me if I'm wrong.
@JDGMC - the original appears to be 1/2" between screw holes;
The replacement that I bought from LMC appears...
I just came across this thread, and think I might be able to help...
These oil pressure senders and gauges are in part why GM quietly stopped offering oil pressure gauges on just about anything other than the Corvette and Camaro;
There are a few exceptions, but they are in the minority - but in...
Do you like to come off confrontational much?
My truck isn't in question - it's the fact that this first design OE latch doesn't seem to match what LMC sold me.
(But if you really wanted to know the year of my truck, it would be easy to find.)
LMC lists this part as 88-95;
Classic Industries...
I just looked for a discussion, and found nothing that seemed to be relevant;
All I found was THIS thread.
My truck's original latch broke within a month of me getting the truck five years ago;
I did find later that summer a replacement aftermarket metal latch, but it doesn't snugly close the...
I just caught up on this thread;
to me, red seems the most common color.
These trucks are still VERY plentiful in yards up here.
I have seen many consoles;
What differentiates a sigle cab console from an extended cab or suburban/jimmy console?
Hello;
I am more of a lurker than a poster.
I have had our truck for about five years now, and generally I am happy with it (I'd love to paint it, but that's simply not in the cards right now).
I have a couple questions that I haven't seen answered;
1) The posi in our truck's differentials...
my opinion;
1) a horsepower engine has a substantially different torque curve than a torque engine.
2) I love stock, or near stock because of the ease of service - no custom crap to contend with, and pretty much everything is available at any auto parts store.
I totally get the wanting of more...
I will build upon my last post;
I will not say that I know with clarity if 1990 style buckets were used in 1991, but default to my buddy's knowledge citing that the 1990 454SS seats were specific...
Maybe someone here has a 1991 full model brochure?
I recently bought both versions of the 1992...
