    Going with a crate or rebuilt engine would be in your best interest. After a major overheat you never know what got damaged. Once you tear into it you could wind up going down a deep rabbit hole. A new to you engine is likely the most cost efficient

    If you're wanting a 500hp+ drag truck, you're going to need a beefed up tranny anyway. I know what your saying, something different would be cool, but I guess it depends how far down the rabbit hole you want to go.
