    Yeah, that would have been a good idea when I first encountered the mess, the bits that remain have been cooked on a hot engine multiple times and I’m not concerned. But I still work it outside.

    So I'm investigating a check engine light situation on my '93 K2500 5.7L and I found this under the air filter... damn rats! I've been looking around but can't find a name for this plastic part that the tubing slides in let alone if anyone sells it. Anyone know its name and if it might be sold...

    The prep was fine, nothing is currently peeling as happened with the stock paint. It's about poor quality paint which is why I'm looking for something that will hold up better with UV resistance and general weathering characteristics. But yea it sucks, as did the stock paint for that matter.

    Here ya go, it's a mix of flat OD green and flat black, haven't washed it in probably 5 years, just keep the glass clean and hose the mud off when needed The green has faded over the years, hopefully the new paint will hold up better

    Thankfully their report matched the list of codes in the truck. My unknown was XBK which per other lists is a tire code, no biggie

    After running into too many dead ends on the free look-up lists I went ahead and ran that compnine report, sure saved a lot of time, thanks. They only had one unknown code. But I haven't yet compared this report to my actual sticker, that comes next.
