I've used the pedal method, Mityvac, cheap scan tool that does abs bleed..still no fluid starting to wonder if rear ABS valve is stuck closed, would think that would throw an ABS light, but don't have one.
Thanks fellas yeah after I thought about my question I realized that I would be pushing crud back through the system.
It has new AC Delco master, rear rubber hose on axle and new cylinders w speed bleeders in it. Will check ABS rear port for fluid then main rear line.... thanks again!
I have the Motive pressure bleeder but can't get the damn resivoir lid to seal, so it just pukes fluid everywhere...gonna through some c-clamps on it and see if that works.
Reviving my own old thread...still have had no success with getting fluid to the rear drums on this truck.
Have a dumb ? Has anyone tried a reverse pressure bleed throught the wheel cylinder back through the master?
Appreciate the replies...I went through the basic pedal pump method with no success. I'll give It a more thorough attempt this weekend, just seems like something is blocking fluid to the rear. I guess I've been riding around with only front brakes for a LONG time...not good
Alright real quick got a 98 k1500 haven't been able to get fluid to rear drums with Mityvac.
Did alot of reading on this and other sites and came across this (required) tool. It holds the combination valve pin in when bleeding, from what I've read this should allow me to successfully bleed the...
Got a 98 Z71 5.7....99% sure I've got the lower intake leaking, losing good amount of coolant. Anyways pulled pass side breather tube off of Intake tube and had significant vacuum. Got a bad cylinder 4 misfire from 1600 rpm to 2000 rpm stuck a bore gauge In cylinder 4 and can tell its burning...
Basically I think I need a resistor for the trailer lights...I have a led converter box but it's a splice in and I don't want to cut up the factory harness....somebody has to be using a trailer with led signal lights behind one of these trucks
When I plug the flat 4 to the new trailer flat 4 i get no running lights and the led brake lights barely light as in only 1 diode is illuminating on each light. I have a square body k30 that I put a Hopkins converter on because I'm running trailer lights on the flat bed...when I hook up to the...
Long story short...bought a new trailer with led signal lights and they don't work correctly. I have a Hopkins converter but it's a splice in. My question is do they sell a plug in play t connecter "converter" as I don't want to chop up the factory harness if possible. Truck is a 98 z71 with...
