Vortec 350/4L80e/NP243, 285k miles. Trans shifts beautifully and after a new O2 sensor it runs great.

2000 K2500 CCSB

As per usual... Too good of a deal to pass up, 4x4, small block. A bit less usual is that this one didn't need to be trailered home. Slapped on the old Smittybilt and two Hella 4000s. Gave it a quick wash, didn't bother with the running boards since they're coming off anyway. More coming soon...

It's worth noting that the 05-16 10 lug 450/550 used a Dana S110 in the rear. The 99-04 450/550 and 08-10 F450 pickup used a Dana 80 with a large 8 lug pattern. 17+ uses a 10 lug Dana M300. I was looking into it a while back and failed to find any 99+ Ford configuration that came with a 10 lug...

Still tons of work to do, but it's back together well enough to roll it around. Had two spare 285/70R17 BFGs to throw on the H2 Special Edition wheels, so I mounted those.

I've serviced a lot of the 05+ Super Duty trucks over the past few years, many of which were beat to death in the oil fields before going to auction. Cab mounts are a major issue on those trucks and I've done a handful of TREs, but I've yet to see any major wear or failures on the radius arms or...

As far as I'm aware front suspension geometry is the same 250-550, with axle tubes and shafts being longer on the 450/550 wide track axles. (more distance between coil/link mounts and inner Cs)

WTF is this?!?

I've seen the exterior shots here and there in various searches, figured it was a much more recent build than that. Wheels, grill, and fender flares absolutely scream GMT900. Seems common for GM to supply 2500 SUVs for stuff like this but for 2002 I'm surprised it's not quadrasteer.

Always been happy with the 80e in my 97. The 01 frame did come with a 9.5 SF but it wont be staying, this will make four of them I've got taking up space. It was my understanding that the Platinums were supposed to have the 6 lug 9.5 14 bolt, but this one did not. I'll check the RPOs tomorrow...
