Being 96 Puter? IDK... just ideas to check by bell housing, firewall, under and above for pinched puter wire, After removing trans and case... etc... Or not connected after work? Same size clutch? Idk if could be a balance issue freakin out the puter on crank? Damn puter motors LOL...
IDK, just throwing idea out... Pull the Distrib cap off, on the Balancer or alt ratchet it to TDC, see if the rotor is at NO#1 to fire... And if it ever changes at different test by hand. For chain or Distributor fail..
